I.M.G.2, together with its subsidiaries Ingeco and Esposito Servizi Ecologici, will be present at Ecomondo 2021, the event dedicated to the ecological transition and new models of circular and regenerative economy.
An opportunity for dialogue between all the protagonists of a sector of fundamental importance and in continuous evolution.
Here are the answers of the CEO of I.M.G.2, Fabio Meloni, to three questions about participation in this event.
IMG2, with its subsidiaries Ingeco and Esposito, participates in Ecomondo. Why is it important to be present at an event of this type?
Ecomondo is the reference fair in Italy in our sector, following the development and growth plan of our companies we thought that the time had come to introduce ourselves as a group and start a discussion with the companies in the sector – whether competitors, partners or suppliers – to take stock of the situation. Naturally, it is also important to seek new customers and to establish relationships with virtuous companies, which share our environmental and ethical values.
IMG2, Ingeco and Esposito are three companies that are always oriented towards development, towards advancing services, but also towards operating with an ever-increasing attention to the territory and the environment. What are the advantages of this approach and what is the price to pay?
The advantages are visible in the medium and long term, but for this very reason they create a more consistent and solid value. In fact, this type of approach tends, in my opinion, to connect companies that have a way of seeing business and the environment in the same way, that is, creating value while respecting the territory and the environment in which they operate.
In this way, a true partnership relationship can be established that is independent of market fluctuations, but is based on ethical, moral and economic values. Obviously, to do this, you have to be willing to invest a lot of time and money and give up something in terms of results in the short term.
How do you see the current and future evolution of the sector in which the group’s companies operate?
There is great excitement both from the point of view of the corporate structures and from the technical and regulatory aspect.
On the one hand I see the need to structure ourselves with targeted investments to be increasingly competitive and to be able to impact the environment less and less. Our direction is oriented towards reducing the quantities in landfill, moving increasingly towards the recovery of materials and energy. On the other hand there is the need to get closer and closer to the customer. Companies are looking for interlocutors who are able to guarantee effective services at reasonable prices, which meet their specific needs.
Therefore, strong empathy is necessary as a fundamental component of our business as well as flexibility and speed of response. The size we have reached allows us to have these attitudes towards the customer. Our proposal for many types of companies is to be able to offer services with almost zero impact on the environment, considering that for some customers we are able to guarantee 100% recovery.
