THE QUALITY OF OUR COMMITMENT IS TESTIFIED BY EMAS REGISTRATION.

Working according to high quality service criteria and careful environmental respect means building one’s daily operations on the basis of demanding schemes and procedures designed not only to guarantee the achievement of defined objectives, but to improve one’s environmental efficiency year after year.

Above all, it means remembering every day that when you make a serious commitment to the environment, you are in fact making a commitment to every person in the company, the entire organizational chart, to the territory to which they belong, to the population that lives and works in that territory.

A commitment that, for us, is of fundamental importance.
And that is not enough to sign with oneself: it requires a formal act, a goal to set and reach.

Ingeco has obtained EMAS registration, the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme.
And we are particularly proud of it.

EMAS, the Community Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, is a voluntary system in which companies and organizations can participate with the aim of evaluating and improving their environmental efficiency, in compliance with the provisions of European Regulation no. 1221/2009.

The goal is not only to comply with legal obligations, but to implement a more efficient management of environmental aspects:
– through continuous improvement of the company’s environmental performance.
– through the active participation of employees.
– through total transparency towards institutions and the public.

To obtain EMAS registration, organizations must:
– carry out an environmental analysis.
– examine all the impacts of the activities they carry out: production processes, products and services, assessment methods, regulatory framework, environmental management practices and procedures in use.
– on the basis of the environmental analysis, create an effective environmental management system, which must specify responsibilities, means, operating procedures, training needs, monitoring and control measures, communication systems.
– carry out an environmental audit.
– evaluate the effectiveness of the management system and environmental performance in relation to the improvement objectives, the organization’s environmental programs and current regulations.
– prepare an environmental statement describing the results achieved, indicating how and with which programs the organization plans to continuously improve its environmental performance.
– obtain independent verification from an EMAS verifier.
– register the statement with the competent body of the European State to which it belongs.

Once registered, the company receives its own identification number and makes the environmental declaration available to the public.

A path, as is evident, challenging and in-depth. As it should be, given the importance of the objectives.
This is also why we are proud to have obtained Emas registration.

It is a symbol of our commitment to the environment. One of our steps to give daily concreteness to our responsible approach.
