Esposito Servizi Ecologici, together with its subsidiaries I.M.G.2 and Ingeco, will be present at Ecomondo 2021, the event dedicated to the ecological transition and new models of circular and regenerative economy.
An opportunity for dialogue between all the protagonists of a sector of fundamental importance and in continuous evolution.
Here are the answers of the director of the Gorle (BG) plant of Esposito Servizi Ecologici on participation in this event.
Esposito Servizi Ecologici, with its subsidiaries Img2 and Ingeco, is participating in Ecomondo. What stimuli can come, in your opinion, from the meetings that will take place during this event?
Esposito Servizi Ecologici is presenting itself at Ecomondo eager to broaden its knowledge and above all to be identified no longer as that single reality that many have known for a long time, but rather as an important part of a new group of companies that, with IMG2 and Ingeco, represent competence and concreteness in the management of the services offered.
What are the directions in which, in your opinion, the entire sector must move?
Our sector has considerable growth potential and this is demonstrated by the continuous technological evolution of the plants present at Ecomondo, combined with the growing desire of operators to invest and innovate. Unfortunately, however, more and more often, the desire to modify and improve one’s activities finds the various bodies involved in issuing authorizations as the main obstacle: the very long evaluation and management times of the procedures on the one hand demotivate the operator and on the other make the investment less innovative. Years pass and what was thought to be cutting edge, once all the authorizations have been obtained, risks having already been surpassed by something else.
Esposito is a company that invests in equipment every year to constantly improve its service, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Can this type of attitude bring benefits in terms of respect for the environment?
Absolutely yes, respect for the environment is one of the aspects we care about most: this is precisely the reason that, over 10 years ago, led us to choose to adopt an ISO 14001 and EMAS certified Environmental Management System. Over the years, the technological innovation chosen for our waste treatment activities has been mainly aimed at optimizing processes and obtaining ever-increasing waste quality. Only by optimizing processes and recovering most of the waste can we effectively contribute to greater respect for the environment.
